Life Changing Moments - 700 Words
Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what youre going to get. (Forrest Gump). Experiences received throughout life are random at best and not knowing which delectable treats are sweet, I brace myself for what may turn out to be life-changing. From these bitter and sweet occurrences, my life constantly reshapes the way I interpret and react to similar situations that arise. Life altering events change my behavior due to the outcome of decisions made, opportunities missed and phone calls received. My trust in salesmen was destroyed after making a decision to buy a used car. Shortly after purchasing a pre-owned Subaru WRX the sound children playing with metal pans came blaring from underneath my car hood. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road with a quick turn of the steering wheel. Calling triple AAA, I had my car towed to the closest auto shop deemed (by an operator located in another state) professional enough to fix my car. The tow truck dropped me off at a little blue-collar auto shop painted bright yellow. I was welcomed by a man that had rough sandpaper hands, stunk of motor oil, and wore a name tag that read Jeff. The mechanicââ¬â¢s silver tongue roused my belief in his ability to take care of me and after what felt like days the oily mechanic returned with his findings.
